Religionsource Funding

Lilly Endowment Inc. has provided a $150,000 grant to help cover the costs of operating Religionsource from February 2005 through September 2008. One of the aims of its religion program is "to support scholars and educators who seek to help the American people better understand contemporary religion and the role it plays in our public and personal lives."

The Pew Charitable Trusts awarded the AAR a $50,000 grant to help operate Religionsource from July 2006 through June 2007. From October 2000 through September 2005, Pew provided Religionsource with $1.76 million in funding. The Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life partnered with Religionsource from October 2005 through June 2006 to provide access to scholars with insight into issues involving religion and public affairs.
